Owning an IPL team is a separate business from the owners' personal careers. You buy an IPL team, you earn revenues, you have expenses including salaries, and if you are lucky you break even. Why isn't Narendra "na khaunga, na khane dunga" Modi doing anything about the khans? I have been tracking movie collections as a hobby for a long time and it's one of the hardest business to launder money, simply because how decentralized it is. Khans don't even distribute their movies themselves. The producers (except YRF who are distributors themselves) usually sell their movies to distributors with a minimum guarantee and the portion of the theatrical collections go to the distributors. It's impossible to do large scale laundering. And no, not every Khan movie makes 200-300 crores. Case in point, SRK's movies in the last few years, Salman's Tubelight last year or even Aamir's Secret Superstar recently. Rest of the actors are not as popular as Khans, that's a fact. I saw him play for India and I genuinely didn’t he was second division player in any decent cricketing structure. He he is valued 12 Cr.
