IDK he looked solid yesterday. Got a good ball today. He atleast gives me confidence that he would get 30-40 runs but Saha always gave me a feeling of a walking wicket

 

Seriously if it had been Saha and Kohli yesterday I would have not even bothered to check the score. 

 

 

So no to Saha. Keep DK till the 3 rd test and if he fails replace with pant

i think we need to give people some chances. DK is actually a technically correct batsman with potential to be our devilliers. Lets give him a fair chance in his second stint. he deserves it. same goes with KL rahul. i think dhawan can be packed off . chepu, vijay and rahane on notice for next 2 tests. if they do not perform get in the youngsters. even if they fail it would be a valuable learning experience. how motivated are the seniors going to be for tests. if at all , it will be just vijay and chepu as they are neiher in t20 or ODI scheme of things.

Dk should be given a proper run,He did ok in second innings..I would really ask,what have  Pandya and Dhawan really done so far??Pandya should be replaced with Kuldeep and Dhawan is an obvious no..Vijay should be given the ultimatum,,he should be made aware of 'Shaw 'knocking the door..KL must tighten his laces..he is giving vibes of a test dud and t20 hack(very sorry to say).Pant can be drafted in but that can be really really tough for the kid to make his debut in Eng against the likes of Broad,Anderson....

Why do guys pick on a so called backup keeper ? Why not pick on the so called 1st choice opener in Dhawan ? What has he done ? and What has Mr Rahane done to keep his place.

DK is a horrible keeper, but decent bat...5 test mein 1-2 50 maar hi sakta hai...agar utna bhi nahi kiya toh doob marna chahiye saale ko... so much hype for nothing...

We haven't exactly got tons of wicketkeeping options. DK knows how to bat so that gives him an added plus point. He finished day 3 well and was a much better partner to Virat than Rahane or Rahul. 

 

If youre looking for an Indian version of Adam Gilchrist stop looking because there isnt one at the moment.

I think the right way to go about this is 

 

1. give karthik fair run, 2 more games........if he fails decide to persist with or get over him.

2. If pant gets in next games n fails, kohli will again get rest bring back karthik n then pant after few games.....which will result in muscial chairs that happening with top order. 

 

also lets cut our hopes with all the changes, these are anderson n broad + curran world class operator in their condition.......high chances even pant,shaw, nair  will meet the same fate . All i want before going to them lets give fair n may be last chance to the player playing ahead like karthik n vijay. I dnt want us to play muscial chairs after 1-2 failure which will lead to an unsettled unit

You cannot judge his batting English batsmen themselves struggled to score runs.Even somebody like Butler couldn't score runs in these conditions.

Wasn't worst of the lot. I am a big fan of Pant but DK should be retained as keeper for next 2 test matches.

Nonetheless deserves another chance, hope Kohli keeps him for the next test.

I saw a bit 1st innings and keeping was plain bad. Karthik is a decent keeper but he was dropping straight forward takes

He would have removed 1st slip from the equation, stopped the byes and saved 50 runs thus ensuring sub 150 target. Anyway he is also a better batsman than DK with a 100 outside Asia on a spicy pitch.
