He's there in the T20I squad. Has only been dropped from ODIs.

I think people got too excited and didn't hear Prasad completely.

The whole BCCI setup from CoA to selectors to captain and coaches - all are bloody sell outs. They have prostrated before Dhoni PR mafia. 

 

For the the first time I will pray and hope Dhoni fails in each and every match, if we lose so be it. Can’t see this double faced hypocrite in the Indian team for WC now. His international  career needs to end like his test career - ignominiously in the middle of an away series. 

 

Can’t wait for someone to petition the SC to open the sealed envelope of match fixers in IPL.

Earlier this sham team management set ends better it is. If losing the next two tests gets them thrown out, so be it. They are toying with a young keeper’s career to fulfill the wish of a mafia chieftain’s desire of playing 2019 WC and possibly 2020 T20 WC as well despite being finished 3 years back.

Dhoni in T20I is a joke.. In the ODI squad, they weren't going to drop him anyway.

 

Looks like they just want to keep giving playing opportunities to the ones that they are likely to select for the WC.

The two wicketkeepers for the WC are likely to be Dhoni and DK.. Pant loses out (not totally unexpected).

 

WC squad certainties :  Rohit, Dhawan, Kohli, Rayudu, Dhoni, Kedar, Hardik, BK, Kuldeep, Chahal, Bumrah  - this is the likely starting XI.  

Backup : four of Rahul, DK,  Khaleel, Shami,  Jadeja

 

All these 16 are in the ODI squad for Aus.

 

Unfortunately, Shaw, Gill, Pant, Mavi, Saini, Nagarkoti et al have to wait till 2023 to get their WC turn.
