what did you expect from this team especially after they had zero warm-up leading to this winner take all test match?  We have always been poor starters in away tours, even in friendly conditions, forget challenging ones.  None of the criticism is on that.  

 

Folks just want to vent their disappointment and frustration by taking potshots at random players - "sack bumrah" etc.  

 

 

NZ cricket administration arranged a test series in Eng and Eng obviously wanted home advantage and set the match in a rainy Southampton at this time but it benefited NZ. 

 

Bcci dropped the test team for a one off test without practice games. 

 

Result is reflected.

Rich country, zero pollution, low crime, low population, beautiful nature, great healthcare and they have still kicked India's butt in World Cup Semi Final and World Test championship. We already have very high population, pollution, loads of crime, poverty, unemployment and now even loads of corona cases. Cant they at least allow us to win a tournament to feel happy temporarily ?

population. 

 

Nz plays many sports.. INDIA obsessed with cricket. 

 

INDIA with all its focused might tried and little NZ beat India while not even being very interested..

A part of me feels cric should be banned in Ind because the population spends too much time on it when there are far more imp issues that need more attention (even full time) ... what worries me is that many freely do activities to hurt the country and reserve their patriotic sentiments for cric

Typical defeatist mentality and accepting mediocrity... thats why with a population of 1bn+:

 

- cannot win Test tours and ICC tournaments of a sport which is played by 10 countries and have the richest board + money + 

- not good in any other sports. Smaller African and eastern european countries can beat us with the pensioner teams

- only produce mediocre unemployable graduates who have a worker mentality and are generally unemployable

- youth spends most of their time on SM and tiktok mujra

NZ couldnt even beat SL in SL

But NZ beat us in their own conditions and beat us again in similar conditions in the WTC. Those are enough data points to conclude that in these conditions, NZ is better than us. This wasn’t a one off.

That's what happens when penniless settlers go and land-grab half way across the world and then "make laws" to preserve low population density.  Nothing to feel jealous about.
