BCCI is acting stupid. We may not like Kohli but he is the captain and it is his team. He has all the right to demand players he want. Both MSD/Ganguly did the same during their reign. Ofcourse if he dont perform, sack his a$$. But as long as he is the captain, his words should be final.

Some rumours are going on that Shreyas Iyer will be next Indian captain in T20s. Just rumours though.

I already said he's been seen as future leader

That's a travesty anyway

He was a remote control captain for whatever little period he lead

Looking at trophy cabinet under Kohli’s leadership, they are confident about outcome. 
 

Management cant be blamed at all for not meeting Kohlis demands each time he threw toys off pram. I hope stick approach works with him. In fact most likey thats the approach they should have taken long back and he might have taken his role more seriously

Pretty sure they are rubbish.. Iyer isn't even in the squad for the WT20

There are high chances he will replace Kishan in the squad. Even if he does not make it, he is only out due to his long injury. He has been otherwise BCCIs blue eyed boy for long.

So lets see the timeline which began in 2019 till which the relationship was hunky dory

 

1. Failing to choose a no 4 batsman and then blown away in semi finals. BCCI previous board complained to new board about kohlis temperment in team selection which started back in south africa series with rahane bhuvi fisaco

2. The precursor was eng series in which pujara was dropped for test 1 and kuldeep chosen in lords

3. Post world cup fisaco suddenly kohli decided to play all and sundry intl t20 s and matches which he would have avoided previously fearing rohits rise. In middle rohit won two Ipls

4 Aus series. Bcci mandarins were fearful n not happy with he leaving due to maternity. After 36 all out they feared 4-0 and thats where tables turned and with the win they started go get upper hand. Also during the series there was the rohit sharma injury n communication issue. 
5. WTC loss and kohlis selection issue. Uneasiness was brewing. 
6. Eng 5th test: KOHLI scuppered the match n embarrassed bcci the day after dhoni was announced as mentor. 
7. Meeting was held and kohli wanted rohit to be sacked as odi vc and rahul/ pant vc. 
8. Bcci leaked it n kohli resigned from t20 captaincy.

Isn’t that stupid? “They” are willing to risk  a  nation’s ability to win a World Cup because they have a problem with Kohli? So either “they” don’t have the balls to replace him for someone better or worse, “they” selected him, but then don’t have the balls to back their own selection. Either way, “they” look a lot worse than Kohli and should be taken to the shed and thrashed.  “They” should pick their guy and back him so that we have the best odds to win. Not pick him and then cry like a bunch of babies.

Selecting is the job of selectors, not the captain.

First the story of Shastri having advised him to quit LOI captaincy and now this.

 

But the attempts to get back control of the narrative do not seem to be working this time so far
