First 11 overs 75 runs, what were Babar and Rizwan thinking?

They were thinking that let's believe in our bowling to defend 175 instead of taking the same Route which India tried to take against Nz and ended up with 110.

Rizwan and Babar are like Dravid and Laxman in ODIs. They will not hit sixes but will build very strong partnerships.

That is their capacity. There is a reason why their career strike rate is low. This was against utter crap bowling today. They can start an innings without a collapse. That is a plus point. But they are not big over guys.  Not power hitters.  Babar Azam should bat at 3 for them and let Fakhar open.

Rizwan was batting at 128 ,this is criminal as an opener/top order batsman,they only lost one with Fakhar firing,he should have upped ante

Maybe Rizwan was not in his elements due to health, was panicky earlier & Babar must have felt the knockout captaincy + toss pressure, hence jazba aur junoon dono toot gaya.

Kela Rahul tuk tuks by choice. He is capable of going from ball one. Babar on the other hand is not capable of doing so and so is not our own Rohit Sharma.

A fit Rizwan himself is no high SR batsman

It is not that easy to score at high RR everytime. I think lost Pakistan more to due lack of their depth in their bowling especially in death overs.

Same buffoons from across the border were claiming they are most dangerous & explosive opening pair, averaging 50 runs should never be a criteria for rating a T20 batsman

 I think the reason I'm seeing better utility from Babar than Rohit in T20s is that even though both Rohit and Babar do not accelerate much initially - Babar puts a higher price on his wicket and does hold one end quite firmly without getting out.  Rohit has such poor footwork and brainless shots in the first few overs that he looks like a walking wicket in T20s .  Babar plays a lot more ground shots unlike Rohit and his dependability on one end gives a chance to Rizwan to start hitting
