Khota Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Kohli also thinks Shastri is a good coach. Kohli is playing in a sport where there is not enough competition. He needs to wake up, watch baseball and see how things are done at next level. Like I said he thinks Shastri is a great coach and Kumble sucks.

Like I said he thinks Shastri is a great coach and Kumble sucks. But shastri has been able to perform man management better then kumble and that part of coaching. Dont forget it was not only kohli but 10 more players who were against kumble that means he failed at man management Why shud he watch baseball to make strategies in cricket ????? Its not only kohli every team plays all rounders.... Not enough competition - look at our bench strength n then say that AuxiliA, beetle, flamy and 2 others 1 4

If there is a Kapil Dev then I am all for it. What you call an allrounder is nothing but bits and pieces. The game has evolved and one person cannot do the role of two. Switchblade 1

Others are: Instruction Skill developement analysis Staretegy Guididng Tactis Technique Good coaches barely sleep 4 to 5 hrs during the season. Shastri is none of that. An MBA can do better man management than Shastri. Let us just get someone from IIM Ahmedabad and let them do it. Edited January 22, 2019 by Khota
putrevus Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 putrevus KhotaTo fit players like Pandya you need multiple players like him, like England. Having just one bits and pieces player will not work.He will upset already unbalanced team.It works for England because they have multiple players who can share bowling load.It won’t work for India .Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Switchblade 1
wanted_desi Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Kohli hates people. These people are reason that cricket is making money in India, hence feeding him. Whats the point of 3 all rounders, even when combined they can't be trusted to deliver 10 overs. Switchblade, The Dark Horse and beetle 3
SUMO Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Test cricket needs bowling allrounders if not proper allrounder. Jaddu ashwin will have more signifiacnt contribution with bat than lets say vihari with the ball. In ODIs batting allrounders like yuvi sehwag saurav sachin worked like charm.

Forever Indian Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Which are these mythical stronger teams he is talking about? The two strongest teams of WI and Aus of their time never had more than one all-rounder. They either had batsmen who could bowl a bit like Symonds or bowlers who can bat a bit. Teams who actually have lots of all-rounders like SA through their peaks or England recently have only underperformed than other teams of their generation. SA has never won an ICC trophy even with likes of Klusener, McMillan, etc. England has been lingering in the middle of rankings and not won a ICC tournament for long despite last 3 ICC ODI tourneys taking place in England. In contrast India with no all-rounders won their first ever test series in Aus. Switchblade 1

GautiMaan Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 No problem with Hardik or even Shankar Problem is Jadeja masquerading as an allrounder and totally upsetting the balance of the team. RAZPOR, sscomp32 and SK_IH 3
coffee_rules Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 It didn't work for SA or Eng, who are yet to win a WC, jacks dont win high profile games like kings do. For the WC, we need genuine players including allrounders. For nirodh and goli-soda cups, you can play your bits 'n pieces players.

Aus did have Symonds, Darren Lehman, Shane Watson and Ian Harvey in 2003 as the alrounders and 5th bowler. They also had an alrounder in 2015 in Watson, James Faulkner and Mitchell Marsh in 2015. No team plays with 5 specialist bowlers in ODIs. You do need an alrounder. who can bat at 6-7 and bowl some overs. Edited January 22, 2019 by rkt.india Adi BB, flamy and philcric 3

You need more than one allrounder if that particular player (allrounder) is unable to complete his quote of 10 overs. Pandya adds to imbalance because he is being selected purely as bowler who has to complete his 10 overs. If Jadhav is playing then he might share his overs. Watson was one of three allrounders in their team. You can't have just Pandya in the team as an allrounder, he becomes fifth bowler then.He is not good enough to bowl his 10 overs every match. Tbh just looked at the stats of Hardik post Aus series. He needs to pull up his socks, his numbers are ordinary, specially batting.
