Some Brat lovers spamming every thread they can with tales of the wicked (opposition) & how almost everything goes against the guy with the entire world conspiring against him :laugh1:

If the team's not progressed, zero trophies, & no batter developed under him then the issue is not others it's clearly the one that sucks!

Respect. India might still lose and Rahane might get a pair, pretty high possibility but the way he led the team to bounce back from the 36 all out hell, he will always have my respect.

Go Jinx :hatsoff:

The “new” guy is always wonderful. Let him captain for say 10 tests and then the guy will be termed as predictable, not aggressive enough etc. Time for another new guy.

Though I have been harsh towards Rahane for the last couple of years, credit where due, did a good job today.

Team was relaxed, maybe that's why no dropped catch. At times it seemed like Ashwin was co-captain, even Bumrah was acting like a leader when Siraj was bowling. Good that our seniors/stars stepped up, long may it continue. No ego, all working towards a common goal. Without firepower of Kohli/Shami/Ishant, after losing the toss in Smith's favorite ground, after scars of 36/9, amazing fight today. Just hope for a bit of luck on day 2, and plenty of application and positive cricket.

What are the chances?? zero..

Anyone know that Rahana captained India 3 times in test matches and we won all the 3 times..(2 times with Australia and once with Afghanistan)??

If rahana wins remaining 2 matches...will he be considered over Virat?? (Only for Test Matches)

Most likely zero chances. But the odds improve if Rahane wins both the remaining tests. Even if he does, they will somehow go back to Kohli under some excuse. I think the best option to both Kohli and the team is for Kohli to quit captaincy and focus on his batting. He is our best batter bar T20Is and will flourish under Rahane's captaincy in tests and Rohit in ODIs.

Sorry, that's not the best option for Kohli - it will affect his Brand value so will not do that. If he won't give up RCB captaincy even after 7 years of utter flop, why woud he give it up with India when the stocks are even higher?

Well most of the ICFers did not want Rahane in the side, so let Rahane cement his place first before you pick him as captain

I feel Rahane is a great captain and should play every game for India for sometime in test. Issue is with the management. Change Shastri and change even fielding coach. The management shouldn't stay for too long anywhere, even if they are doing fine. Just like governments and presidentcies in most countries, there is a restriction of 2 terms for a reason so that no one can monopolize or do any kind of dictatorship and that new ideas can be shared. Hence the management, whether they are doing good or bad, needs to be monitored and removed in time. This shouldn't be a job where you work till your retirement. Swap them every few years. Give others chance.
