Very early in his career without much leadership experience. He did lead Delhi to Ranji final in a season but was sacked midway. Punter does rate him highly and will fully back him. Delhi has been brilliant in this regard with both Iyer and now Pant. RR with Samson and Punjab with Rahul last season....
