Dhawan can open fine in IPL.. Pant at 3 or 4 along with Hetmyer. However, they will need 1 more batsman to fill Iyer's place so Rahane might play at 3

Ashwin did pretty well with a weak team, would have been interesting to see what he could have done with a full strength team

This is his year of reckoning.. His stock is going to rise for sure , who knows if he has a good IPL ,will be tugging at the tails of Kohli and Rohit in a year or so.

Thats the issue. Ideally for me Pant, Shaw, Hetmeyer and Stonis would be the top 4 and play the max deliveries.   I think they will go with Dhawan, Shaw, Hetmeyer/Pant, Stonis. 

 

I hope Rahane and Smith stick to the bench.
