coffee_rules Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) After all the r@ndir0na , slitting wrists and expectations of an impending doom of a first round exit, I don’t see any thread on appreciating our bowlers restricting Pak to a par score . How did they bowl ?(yet to see Pak innings) I still see Kela/Rohit/Sky yeh woh threads popping up. Edited October 24, 2022 by coffee_rules sandeep 1
Lord Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Arsh was brilliant considering his first WC game, showed maturity of a veteran Bhuvi set it up with 3 frugal overs upfront Shami removed Ifti at right time when he was taking the game away Hardik again used hard lengths really well Issue is spin and death bowling. sandeep and coffee_rules 1 1
Popular Post maniac Posted October 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 24, 2022 Our team is still pathetic. We won due to individual brilliance yesterday. Axar patel was batting at no.5 at the MCG. Let that sink in. Laaloo, Lord, rollingstoned and 8 others 7 4
Popular Post Lone Wolf Posted October 24, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 24, 2022 Bowling nearly cost us the game.. 160 on this pitch in a Indo-Pak game was almost match winning. Fielding was below average. Thanks to Individual brilliance of Kohli we managed this win. Spinners huge concern. Vk1, rollingstoned, I6MTW and 7 others 2 8

We should have restricted them to 140 or 145 max. There was cloud cover when we bowled and the ball kept on swinging for a long time, which is rare in T20s. Plus the pitch had both bounce and pace. Batting was difficult. If Kohli did not play the innings of his life, we would have lost. Vk1, Swag, adi B and 7 others 2 8

In friendly conditions, the Indian attack can make any lineup sweat just like they made English batsmen earlier this year. Pakistan batted well to reach 159. coffee_rules 1

Gollum Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Adequate, hope they collectively peak in KOs. Axar will do better, patience. Lord and coffee_rules 1 1
Bigg Brother Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Need to bowl better in death overs..Bowlers hitting them for sixes at MCG is unacceptable. Bhuvi had started bowling again that wide off side filth in last over but somehow got back on track. It was still an average bowling performance. adi B, express bowling, coffee_rules and 2 others 5
Serpico Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Let bhuvi complete his quota at the beginning. When will they learn

Suhaan Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Arshdeep and Pandya for me Shami (came after so long in an t20 that too straight into a WC game against Pakistan)and Boobie also looked good, but those two were standouts Mosher and coffee_rules 2
ThirtyD. Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Letting Pakistan get to 158 from a position of 120-7 is not acceptable. This is the second time in the recent memory, we've let them get respectable score and almost fluffed the chase (2x). Depending on our batting to win games is foolish and naive at its best. We carry too many passengers in our batting line up. Until yesterday, only SKY was a reliable batsman in our lineup, which tells you how much we've goofed up picking this T20i squad. express bowling 1

So if KL or Sky or Rohit fails , it is because they are mentally weak. If our bowlers get wickets initially, it’s because of swinging conditions. It was a kind of pitch that needed Kohli’s style of chases. H get a look in and then take charge. One could not dominate bowling as soon as you come in. Even Pandya was not fluent like he usually is, so many play and misses, must have been excruciatingly painful to watch in real-time. Yes failure of death bowling and Axar, they just st took him on. That’s why we have to go with 6 bowlers as one will have a bad day. Finally, it came down to Kohli’s eggsperience (as people here mock) and brilliance. I think our bowlers will do well in Perth. Worried about batting. One of the top3 will have to bat through
vice Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Arshdeep's two overs upfront were great taking out both the openers and later bounced out their power hitter in the death overs. Field placing for Afridi was poor Shami was brought back in to break the partnership and took out Ifi. shami kinda went under the radar but his impact was crucial Pandya, chipping in with wickets, not letting string a partnership coffee_rules 1
Gollum Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) Don't think we missed Bumrah , Arshdeep did what Bumrah has never been able to do his entire career, stand up in a big match and take out opponent's top dogs first up. Don't care about talent, ability, X factor, bahut dekh liya whether it be Bumrah or KL, what use of all this talent if one can't get the job done in the big stage. Will happily take these low profile less talented players who raise their games in big games like how Arshdeep did yesterday. Or how Irfan, RP, Gambo etc. did in the past. Number Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) Really impressed with Arshdeep. He can be our all phase T20 and ODI bowler. Bowled a few deliveries over 141 kmph too. Shami bowled poor lines between 5-10th overs when there was so much help available. Edited October 24, 2022 by Number coffee_rules 1

I've said it before that Bumrah will not be as big a miss as we made it to be. Yes, he is a world class bowler but in his current form he has been clearly struggling to get us those early breakthroughs. Edited October 24, 2022 by ThirtyD. coffee_rules and Gollum 2

Both RP and Munaf should have had much more successful careers if they had focused more on fitness and worked harder. Feel sad for this duo.
