Should Pakistani players be allowed in IPL?

Not just 26/11.

And this coming from one of the strongest peaceniks on this forum.  Pakistani government and military policies towards India have turned friends into foes.  And unless there is a

  • clear
  • consistent
  • permanent (no rollback possible)

change in Pakistani government and military policy,  there is no justification for allowing Indian Rupees to flow back into the enemy country which has murdered thousands of Indians including civilians, and is shedding Indian blood daily on and across the LoC.

Pakistanis love to moan and cry about separating sports from 'politics', but in the same breath with use the 'unresolved issues' to justify their stance on everything else - such as trade, transport access to Afghanistan - you name it - across the board.

It simply cannot be that they want to benefit from India, while maintaining overt and blood-shedding enmity with India.

Deep down they also realize they are wrong but too idiotically proud to admit and roll-back on their ills.

For 10 years in the 90s they said that India did not play because we were " scared " of losing to their team full of jazba junoon cricketers ( who always shat bricks against us in the big matches).

For 20 years now and more so in the last 10 years..our team has been leagues and leagues ahead of their team - yet we refuse to play them.

This has hit the conscious of their "great" players who in the hearts of their hearts realize, India as a nation in general and cricket playing nation in particular - can only be a dream and an unachievable aspiration for them. Period.

What does cricket has to do with justice? Did we get justice for all the atrocities of British Raj before allowing English players in ipl?

Money & Self respect. IPL is big money.

Issues with British Raj ended when India got independence. The generation of perpetrators & victims are long gone, average Indian has no issues with the British Govt of the day.

We still remember seeing our fellow Indians slaughtered on live television by terrorists funded & trained by Pakistan like yesterday. They continue train & fund terror in India. Why would any Indian be okay to pay & be entertained by people who will then use the part of the proceeds to hurt you?

I have zero problems against Pakistani cricket fans, Pakistani forummers.  They're good peeps.

But cricket is now politics, it's beyond the boundary by a long shot.

So till the time the Pakistani establishment keeps fomenting terrorism in India, keeps targeting us on as a hostile nation internationally, why should we afford you free space in an arena where we are leaders?

Why should we host illiterates who are in the same class as those who salute on the border or speak of 'Hinduon ki zehniyat'?

Not yet.  Uh uh.

No, they should not and will not be allowed into IPL. Let them play their PSL which according to them is already better than IPL anyway. As long as their military is calling shots and their puppet PM is ranting what they're saying, there is no way we can have peace. Let them burn in their own hell. First serve justice to the terrorists and then come with your begging bowl.

I don't think we should let them play anyway coz they don't have the quality.  It'd be injustice to our young players.

I am open for bilateral series though & Asia Cup should happen.   Let's dominate them on the field.  Couple of series losses to India & Pak cricket will end anyway.
