QuarantineTormentino
Would be interesting to see how his career unfolds now, with Jadeja coming back to our side. I mean Almost 30 wickets in 3 matches with an average of 10 is insane and very hard to not consider. Happy Embarrassment of riches for the selectors. prudent_kreeda
Sadly his chance for next test will be when we play in India . Should be given some chances in 50 overs in the mean time and may be in some T20s. Link to comment
Gollum
We don't have many home tests the next 2 years. Overseas going to be tough to get in, even Ashwin isn't a sure starter there. Just 27, he can still have a 50-60 tests long career. Hope he is given a decent run in our white ball teams. In T20s I think he has a much higher ceiling than Jaddu. Vijy
In Ind in the future, I'd like to see moderately spinning pitches (kind of like the 4th test) with 3 spin attack. Ash-Jaddu-Axar. and by then hopefully sundar can become a proper middle/top order bat. then we would have 4 spin options and the 2 pacers. batting till 9 (with axar at 9). nevada 1 Link to comment
Pollack
Please no axar in odis or t20. His bowling is so boring to watch. Link to comment

nevada
It seems Axar has some County experience as well, playing 4-5 games for Durham. Patel is likely to be a part of India's squad for this summer's tour of England, but it will not be his first taste of playing in English conditions. In 2018 he had a short stint with Durham - playing in four first-class games in the County Championship. Patel, who has a first-class career batting average of 33.54, including 14 half-centuries and one century - scored an unbeaten 95 in the game against Glamorgan and took 7-54 against Warwickshire a few weeks later. "His knock against Glamorgan showed us he's a genuine all-rounder and I expect him to go on and perform with the bat in Test cricket too," says McCarthy. "And that spell of bowling in Birmingham was just phenomenal, it wasn't a turning pitch. He just knew his own game so well." Link to comment

Jimmy Cliff
Play exclusively at home. Retire with a better average than Barnes and Lohmann. express bowling, raki05, Ankit_sharma03 and 1 other 3 1 Link to comment
Vickydev
He could be looked at in LOIs as well if Chahal keeps stinking up the place. He is so miserly in that format, plus he is much more than darter. He varies his pace beautifully and gets good drift and bounce. Reminds me of Santner. And he is a decent batsman to boot. Majestic
Home tests:- Jadeja 7 Ashwin 8 Axar at 9 Overseas:- Jadeja Ashwin Three pacers If Jadeja is injured, Sundar can bat at 7 in tests. If Ashwin is injured, then India can go for Kuldeep or Axar in overseas tests. So now, Axar should play only home tests and let Ashwin play overseas with Jadeja and Jadeja's replacement will be Sundar. We don't need our second spinner to be great overseas. But their batting will be more important so Sundar as backup for Jadeja is right choice. Link to comment
G_B_
I think should be involved with loi team Link to comment
Vilander
Basically a stop gap replacement. When ever Jadeja or Ashwin falter. Link to comment

Yup very underrated in white ball cricket, not just a darter but subtle pace variation. I think he can be a superior version of Jaddu there, hope we invest in him since 2 out of next 3 WCs will be held in India. Link to comment
Gollum
What next for Axar? Help DC win IPL 2021. Him and Ashwin the spin twins, Rabada/Nortje, Umesh without pressure of being spearhead, Pant with sky high confidence, hopefully an improved Shaw....DC is gonna roast MI this time. Link to comment

DC looks good, but their batting is still problematic compared to MI Link to comment
