Throwaib_Chuckter Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 With availability of Indian cricketers for foreign league T20s being considered by BCCI, best not to burn yourself out with too much. For an Indian Cricketer, it makes sense to pick your formats when you have things going for you. When the chips are down, you'll be shuffled around anyway. Chuckte Raho TC
vvvslaxman Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 (wearing fan boy shoes) You mean "One dayers will retire from Pandya"? raki05, Lord, beetle and 1 other 4
nevada Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 First let him last till the 23 WC without any injuries. That being said, there's nothing wrong with players limiting the amount of cricket they play and prioritising T20 over other formats.
raki05 Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 Lol such a hype for this nom entity....glad that he knows his worth he is typical T20 mercenary. Hope he play atleast that consistently without doing any more nautanki. sage, Vilander and rollingstoned 3
putrevus Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 (edited) Pandya himself knows he is bits and pieces player. He won't last long in longer formats. Some moron here wanted him to become captain in white ball cricket. Edited July 24, 2022 by putrevus
Austin 3:!6 Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 Ravi Shastri makes too many statements. He said Kohli needs rest, Bilateral cricket should be scrapped and now Pandya will retire from T20s. He needs to stop with these instigating statements Lord and Clarke 1 1

Dhoni remembered it and brought that up after beating Australia lol
zen Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 Will not comment on Shastri’s speculation but with so much cricket being played, it is good if players can focus on the formats of their choice. At one time, we had Sachin, Dravid, and Ganguly skipping T20s (apart from IPL) and the current gen is probably in the process of making ODIs the lower tier format (Stokes retired from ODIs earlier this year to may be start a trend). Today an ODI is being played b/w Ind & WI and I have to push myself to follow it. A part of me thinks why waste a Sunday on an ODI!
Adamant Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Traitor. These are the players ICF glorifies. Stan AF, raki05 and Clarke 3
Majestic Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 If Pandya wishes to retire offcourse he can, nobody is stopping. We have Deepak Hooda as his backup. Batting wise, both are anyways same. Both are spin bashers and play pace well but can't take them on unless it is in slot. Hooda will give you as many or even more overs than Pandya. Go ahead, we have backups ready for all positions. Rohit( backup - Gill) Dhawan( backup - Kishan/ Shaw) Kohli( backup - Shreyas) Pant( backup - Samson) Rahul( backup - SKY) Pandya( backup - Hooda) Jadeja ( backup - Axar) raki05 and prasen82 2
DeepSpace Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 (edited) Chup be Bewda! Jyada bak bak karta rahta hain khamokha! Pant jo champagne ka botol diye tha, woh khatam karne ke baad naya botol mila nahin kya tereko? Edited July 26, 2022 by DeepSpace
Suhaan Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Good, players should be shuffled across formats Give your best even if that comes for a brief period Staying while being pathetic and feeding off yyour past laurels is even more selfish Norman, Stan AF and raki05 3
Clarke Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 I wish more players and selectors were clear in their heads. It would help create 3 world class units with limited overlap. HP & others could run longer and be more effective. We're lucky to have the financial resources to manage the large overall pool, just need to have the focus & direction which has been missing.
coffee_rules Posted July 26, 2022 Author Posted July 26, 2022 Why not 2 innings of T20s ? Or back to back T20s on the the same day…(hic)
Number Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 He will be only 29 in 2023. The way he batted in 3rd ODI in England he is surely maturing as a bat. He can in fact be a senior member in LOIs till 2027 at least.
express bowling Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Hardik should play ODIs as we need him in big matches. He can always rest in low key matches in both ODIs and T20Is, to manage his workload.
Sgattick10 Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 He can retire from red ball cricket, and only concentrate on white ball cricket
Ankit_sharma03 Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 jo cheez hui nhin uspe itna reaction, who knows what will happen after 2years . High chance he ll become captain , my question is will he retire if he gets offered with captaincy ?? Noo
Majestic Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 (edited) How about make a team by sacking all the 30+ old guys. ODIs : Gill Pant S Iyer KLR SKY/ Samson Pandya(c) Axar Arshdeep/Prasidh Siraj Bumrah Yuzi Team done with no oldies. T20Is :- KLR Kishan D Hooda SKY Pant Pandya Axar D Chahar Harshal/Arshdeep Bumrah Yuzi Again, same. Edited July 27, 2022 by Majestic
