Does India need minimum two PROPER Punjabi players in the squad to win a World Cup?

1983, 2007 and 2011. There were at least 2 Punjabis in each of these instances. This time, we only had Kohli, who is a Dilli Punjabi, and Arshdeep, who is actually born in Madhya Pradesh. 

 

Are Punjabis the good luck charms of the Indian team? Kindly discuss.

Sindh/Karachi guys Hasnain & Dahani in reserves so far. 

 Theory must be looked into.... 

Yuvi Bhajji Kohli Raina Gauti & our clutch performers were Punjab/Delhi belt in 2011.  Different mindset perhaps.   Kapil Dev Madan Lal in 83...  I maybe missing a few others. 

 

Replace it with Gill Abhishek Sharma (open +bowler)  Pant Kohli Umran Arshdeep...  Tilak verma from South & fill in the rest. 

Shaw as Tendulkar from Mumbai. 

 

Yuvi as BCCI president...  Sehwag secretary.  You got a ICC trophy in the bag.

Need to stay away from captains from the South: 

 

Srikant 1989 Nehru Cup - SF disaster 

Azhar 90s - 1996 World Cup SF disaster 

Dravid 2007 disaster 

Rohit 2022 WC disaster 

 

If the trend continues, 2023 WC KO disaster. Likely to make it to KO because if playing in Ind like Srikant in 1989 and Azhar in 1996

Talking about captains, need to stay away from a regular top order (#1-3) player as well … Ind has usually won when captained by someone in the MO, who so far has been an AR (bat and bowl/keep).

South gives us good test batsmen and spinners but never produces aggressive batsmen which are good hitters or good fast bowlers.

Punjab/Haryana/Delhi/U'khand players seem to be mentally tougher, there is some pattern I am sure. 

 

Historically Haryana/Punjab have produced our best athletes, across sports. As tempting as it may seem I hope that belt stays away from cricket, especially  Haryana. Want them to produce more Olympic medalists and world champions in wrestling, boxing, athletics etc. Even hockey to some extent. 

 

Cricket is a sissy sport, a minor sport as well, largely irrelevant.
