Gollum
Don't they ever learn? Bhuvi made some valid observations about our slip catchers and got benched the next test. Now Shami rues not getting the ball from the skipper when he was in rhythm in the 2nd innings of Centurion test. Now he too will get a mysterious niggle before the last test . BTW us ICFers too were left wondering in the match thread when despite ripping through the SA middle order amidst a fantastic spell, he was suddenly & inexplicably removed from the attack and not given the ball for 29 overs !!!! Quote “There are some stages in front of you that you want to bowl more but the captain thinks that we should get them out quickly. So you cannot mind that but yes sometimes you do feel inside that maybe I could have got five wickets. But if you see from the team’s point of view, you will not feel like this,” said Shami after the day’s play. “It depends on the captain when he wants to bowl you or any other bowler. It also depends on the conditions I suppose. Maybe I bowled before lunch so I couldn’t bowl immediately. So the captain might be thinking that we should bowl in rotation,” said Shami, adding that he wasn’t injured or tired when he was pulled out of the attack. http://www.hindustantimes.com/cricket/india-pacer-mohammed-shami-rues-not-bowling-enough-vs-south-africa-in-2nd-innings/story-H0ydvtqrUxeWRoB640QGfO.html velu, Rightarmfast, mishra and 3 others 1 4 1 Link to comment
Popular Post Forever Indian
All hail the captain who handles Fast Bowlers very well. - Doesn’t know when to continue with a pacer in full rhythm - Over-bowls a pacer who constantly bowls 8th or 10th stump line (Ishant) - Bowls an offspinner constantly from other end in South Africa - Picks a keeper in squad who inspires no confidence he will catch any edges off the pacer (Parthiv) - Last but not least drops the best Pacer in next game All these in a single overseas test. Then you have the case of two of the Fastest Indian bowlers (Aaron and Umesh) totally thrown out of the picture. No new youngster Fast Bowlers getting a chance even in low profile series like at home vs SL (Navdeep Saini or anyone else). The Dark Horse
Shami should consider himself lucky to play in the 11. The reason he bowled less in 2nd innings is because he was cr@p in the first. Link to comment
Pollack
Shami is as good as gone now. Thanks for playing a few tests. Bye now. Temujin Khaghan, diehardpacer, velu and 2 others 4 1 Link to comment
Shunya
Looks like Shami need to build some confidence now. He should go to the bench now and let Bhuvi come back who has recharged his confidence after being dropped. beetle, abc, diehardpacer and 2 others 5 Link to comment

wanted_desi
Shami just played last match for Team India. It was good while lasted. Link to comment
MechEng
I'm wondering do players ever speak their minds or share concerns with their captains? It seems not, otherwise Shami wouldn't be making this statement out in the public. mishra and Gollum 2 Link to comment
kosingh
Oh boy. He's going to get so badly niggled by Kohli, that he will know never to question the Supreme Leader ever again. Link to comment
zen
Appears as if there is a discontent with how Kohli runs things. Professionally my own leadership style has gone from autocratic (Asian influence early on) to coaching (effect of gaining some wisdom), which I think works best Kohli would need to make such a transition as well to get the best out of his team Link to comment
coffee_rules
He has to watch his back while playing football with kohli! Link to comment
Cricketics
Shami needs to know he has a poor fitness. He should be lucky he did not bowl more or else he would be sitting in India and doing some rehab program. He is a world class bowler with third class fitness. vishalvirsingh, Brainfade and LORD_analyst 1 2 Link to comment
