what I liked is how he batted according to the situation in the test. In the first, put his head down to try to play a fighting inning. In the second, as situation demand, scored quick runs :two_thumbs_up:

Wow our batting really is rubbish without Kohli. Pandya is a number 7  at best and he is our second highest run scorer?

you got to admit, The Outsider has a real gift in making individuals perform significantly better than expected

Modi in 2014 and now Pandya in 2018

Dont forget his infamous Jaddu test bowler thread

The vultures were all over this thread taking potshots at Pandya during the Lords test.  They are all in hiding now.

Cat got your tongue?

My tongue, not really but I do admire the rabid Pandya fans blowing this guy's non existent horn. There are a number of rabid fans like Dhoni fans and the "new pace sensation, potential ATG" Hardik Pandya fans who just come out of their caves every once in a blue moon. How many of them are rabid India fans, including you?

Take this loser Zen for instance, in this thread he/she comes up with this gem  - "You need to have pride for your culture and self respect to drive changes" - http://www.indiancricketfans.com/forums/topic/109110-fire-in-babylonia/

So will this person change their tune after the match, change the tune again after next match, what about you?

Behti Ganga me sab dhote hai, aaj tum dho rahe ho, agli baar dekhte hai kab baahar nikloge. Yeh India haare/jeete bhaad me jaye, hamare favorite players to khelenge attitude jab change hoga :yousuck:

What behti Ganga?  There are proponents of Pandya who presented reasoned arguments in his favor, without hyping him or his pace.  2016.

I posted a thread stating that Pandya is an under-rated player, comparing him favorably to Ben Stokes in LOI cricket, over a year ago.

Doesn't mean that we can see the future, or we'll be right all the time.  But folks like you, who were happily and repeatedly belittling him just days earlier, citing his 'failures' should be able to man up and acknowledge when the facts turn around and prove you wrong.  The fact that you are unable to do so, and are busy constructing strawman arguments, says more about you, than Pandya or anybody else.

Btw, before you make sweeping generalizations, I'd point you to read the signature that follows each of my posts here on ICF.

Where were you in the last 5 tests, excluding Afghanistan? Did Pandya do his job then?

This is relevant to tests how? I like Pandya the LO player but he still has some ways to go in tests.

Right and this is why you bump this thread up every time when he does something or that loser Zen who just posts useless memes or one liners, showing his/her intelligence.

Strawman, this is a strawman to which I responded to! I've backed up most of my assertions with stats and figures, you guys come up with Shami is better than Umesh (in these conditions) because he avg 50+ in England, therefore Shami is the best.

No it doesn't, it says more about the mob mentality at play here than anything else. Pandya is an improving cricketer for sure, he also needs to do it consistently that's also for certain. The fact that you can't differentiate between the two is not my problem, because I expect more from Indian players. I don't doubt his effort, but I do question his long term viability in tests or that one run out in Centurion showing lack of awareness.

Yeah I have gone OTT wrt Pandya's criticism, but that's also in part due to no lifers like Zen who think stupid pictures to poke someone is better than reasoned arguments.

I won't bother with the likes of that poster, so long as you're being logical - I will respond.

Forget it, no point responding to any from his fanclub.

Pandya in some strange ways reminds me of Ganguly's bowling. Lands on the seam , handy and aggressive. Picks important wickets.
