No matter what , he is/was and will always be India's greatest captain. 

 

People will keep going on about Souravs and the kapils but it's the silverware that counts at the end of day and Dhoni is responsible for like 2/3rds of our trophy cabinet. 

 

Should have retired atleast after CT2017 and gone down as the most loved Indian cricketer (and prolly world) of all time.

 

But anyways.... thanks for the memories.

I have been conned too many times. Is there an official BCCI press release yet?

 

I have always maintained he is Indias greatest MVP since Kapil Dev and an icon and inspiration for middle class youth of this country especially from smaller cities.

 

If this news is true, genuinely thank him as a cricket fan for all his stellar contributions to Indian cricket.

Wonderful from Freddie. MSD came in with swagger of his own whether it was the walking style, long hair or nonchalance at hitting sixes. 

For a nation deprived of a good wicket keeper batsman for so long, Dhoni was worth the wait.
