Kohli returns and delivers

Kohli left Australian shores with India on new low of folding under 40 runs in last innings of Pink ball test and many of the regular guys getting injured on regular basis , didn't help either

But ever since his departure ,went away the negativity and mental fatigue of Indians

they restarted Mission Resurrection and emerged victorious where visitors seldomly taste success

 

Now in India he returns and thus returns the mediocrity, negativity and what not,we succumbed to shameful loss where just months ago we pulled off one of the best rear guard action against all odds in foreign conditions

Time is ripe ,this fellow needs to step down from leading in all formats,he is done , for his own form's sake he needs to relieve his mind and body off pressure ,let some one else to hold the baton even if it means to be a stop gap measure

LOL is going to captain till 2027 world cup whether we like it or not. He will lose every single tournament and drop a series or two at home starting with the current test series. He is here to stay and lose.

I don't know what it is with this guy as a captain,but he does brings the team down despite adding a lot as a player.

He needs to figure it out himself ,because time is running out.

 

And ofcourse just stop these mandatory selection goof ups,it is kind of getting ridiculous how he manages to get a couple of selections wrong every match ,cant be a coincidence.

His team selections are always poor.

Even though it may be unpopular opinion here but he doesn't do many things wrong in the field. Even in Adelaide we bowled well.

But the biggest issue under him is when we are bad, we just go at absolute worst in no time.

There is just no coming back once the things start going south. 

Be it CT17 finals, WC19 SFs or Pune 2017 test embarrassing batting. He just doesn't know how to get his team arrest the slide.

I just wish Dhoniconda had not given him too many chances at the beginning & dumped his a** sooner.  A curse for Indian cricket this dude & I don't believe for a second that our country still don't  have better batsmen than this limited stroke maker.

Thats what Kohli is there for. He has a purpose to serve for Indian cricket fans. To teach us a valuable lesson, that Success is not forever.

 

We can never be too satisfied with success, no matter how beautiful or satisfying, because failure ( read Kohli) is just round the corner.

I get the feeling that his team mates are not liking Kohli as captain and are unable to give a 100%. They seem to be under some sort of mental discomfort under his captaincy.

 

This issue wasn't as severe till 2019. But things have looked really bad in 2020 and 2021.

 

We may still go on to win this test series  ... as our team is a really good one.

 

But if we want to be a dominant No 1 team ... Kohli, the captain, is not the answer from now on.

Over reaction was wrist slitting after England's strong show on day 1. The much awaited turn around never came. It is not over reaction to be disappointed with 5 back to back days of being outplayed on our own turf. Remember, when we were losing badly in England most of ICF thought "let these English come to India, we will show them". Well, the English are in India now.

Till about 5-6 days ago, I used to watch highlights of Gabba day 5 everyday. And I watched a bunch of interviews too. It all seems like a dream now after brat's return.

Very good point.

 

England outplayed us in probably 11 out of the 14 sessions.

 

This aspect is not good.

 

It was quite the opposite in Australia, even in the lost test match at Adelaide ... where we basically lost because of 1 appalling session after dominating most of the game.

He doesnt lead from the front, has temperamental issues and tries to bog down players who dont toe in line with his thoughts or working style .

These are leading issues to sack any captain.

Another thing which prevails under his captaincy is that we tend to surrender meekly plenty of times

This is possible. His team does not want to play all out for him. He is blaming on spinners while the spinners actually scored than the frontline batsmen during the first innings. He does not have the guts to say that in first innings failure of openers and continued  mediocrity by him , Rohit and Rahane does not help. Why blame the spinners only.
