IPL probably. For someone who played in Kerry Packer's league, this is somewhat odd. his dismissal of t20 as not cricket is laughable as he had his own stanford t20 league which was a failure. IPL taking off must have contributed to the saltiness.

Plus the loss in the 83 WC final. He was the 10th wicket. In some interview, he said that he was confident of chasing down the target despite the fall of 9 wickets. He is possibly still mad at being the last man to get out to the "lowly" team.

He used to refer Indian seamers as medium pacers. India producing fast bowlers may also bother him. I don't think its about WI cricket. Ian Bishop cares more about WI. Bishop has said many a time that IPL has unearthed more WI talent than the WI board. Bishop is more professional (more than silly Bhogle) and has gone through a journalism degree. Much better to listen than old fart holding who many liked for his free flowing accent more than his insights.

Apart from his obvious bias against India he was a pretty good commentator. Good fast bowling insights along with a lot of details about 70s and 80s cricket.

Bishop is 1000 times more pleasant and insightful than this guy.It is sad that Bishop does not get to do more important series like this guy .Bishop to me is one of the best color commentary guys.

Posts are a bit unfair to Mikey here. He became somewhat bitter and cynical only after T20's came around. He was a pretty neutral commentator before that .
