Quite rightly so. However, what were these officials doing when the Indian team continually **** the bed in notable tournaments under VK's captaincy? I would like to know their feedback on his tenure.

Feel sorry for KL Rahul. He is such a softie. Comes across as a nice guy, proper middle class nerdy urban South Indian boy whose parents tell him not to be friends with people like Pandya bros (buri sangat) and keep giving him examples of successful peers like Kohli. However he  hangs with such crowd to feel cooler and over does the Kohli worship.

DIdn't they realize when they appointed him as vice captain? lol  Why is vice captain position is taken lightly. He is a guy who has to step up when captain is not on the field.

Wonder why these guys who are stop gap captains just try to follow the same formula set by their predecessors.. Rahul had the opportunity to experiment, do something bold, try out a different combination.. alas, he just stuck to the old formula and when it failed, he looked clueless.. didn't look like he had a brain of his own

even if they make him VC under rohit, the latter's fitness is so poor that rohit will keep breaking down often - hence, KLR will have to captain more often than not. someone should be made VC, maybe pant or bumrah

Name one Karnataka player who is uber aggressive (except Vinay koomar lol with his terrorizing run up).  Not a complaint. They are talented, great team players. Very gritty, skillful players, match winners. You can say whatever you want. But generally they are quiet, unassuming, very soft.  Prasad barring that one occasion is also a bit on the softer side.   If you want real feisty in your face attitude it comes from Delhi guys. Manoj, Gambhir, Kohli.  So how about making Ishant the captain :)

PKXI should have appointed Mayank Agarwal as captain. He looks better.  I think Manish Pandey is also an okay captain? Any idea? But definitely KL Rahul is not better than either of them.

Problem is not that he is not aggressive but he is disinterested.

Kumble was very aggressive. Same intensity of Kohli minus the antics

True Rahul Dravid, Kumble would react st the least. I have seen Dravid being animated over  ranji match. We hardly any see reactions from him. .

Has there been similar reports after the WT20 or cancelling the tour midway or after losses in Nzl?

 

Yes Rahul is terrible as a captain but have a feeling he has been demonized now to protect some other culprits. 
 

Does coach have any accountability?

 

What about contributions of Purane, Ashwin, Bhuvi and even Dhawan-Kohli. Let’s not be fooled by their 2 50’s. They were batting in the best position that pretty much our entire middle order wants to bat in and still couldn’t add value to the result.

 

Have no problem in ridiculing Rahul but selective criticism is what gets me

This is equivalent to calling Pakistani players for auction and not picking them. If you always knew he doesn't have it in him to captain the side then why even make him a VC. They had Dhawan, he did a decent job as a captain in the SL series, if you wanted a temporary captain for a series in the absence of Rohit then they could have gone with Dhawan instead.

 

If it was to test Rahul's Skill as a captain in an International series, then Rahul's report card would be as bad as 3 on 10. Either way it's an egg on face of BCCI, first they appoint him the captain then humiliate him with such Statements.
