Obviously it was Rahane who led that team and won..It was nauseating to see Shashtri worshipping Kohli in post match. That duo literally risked Pant's career if not for Rahane,idiots didn't pick him in first test despite Pant scoring century in Practice match. Siraj finally got a debut.. Happy that Rahane is speaking up...

The Australian media was stating that Kohli was calling Rahane late at night.

Literally is the correct word.

They humiliated him by saying he was overweight and playing in Adelaide.

 

Then felt vindicated with his performances later in the series.

Shastri gave credit to Kohli immediately after the series win and then that shameless minion Sridhar glowingly spoke about Kohli's contributions from India in that show with Ashwin.

 

Anywhere else in the world, a captain winning such a massive series in those circumstances would have been handed over the captaincy full time. As bad as Rahane has been since then, if he was the captain, our trajectory could have been very different by now.

 

I hope Rahane and Pujara thoroughly expose the obvious toxicity in that team environment under coach Loudmouth and captain Wrongn

It still baffles me how Virat got credit for a tour which he wasn't even a part of.

 

Funny thing is, India lost the test match (36 all out) on which he captained and also the next test when he returned (1st test against Eng at home).

To be fair to him, rahane deserves the credit for Aus series win. But he is forgetting the larger picture. If not for kohli and shastri' endless backing, he would hv been kicked out of the team long ago.
