Pakistan was a team in form that time as they beat few good teams to reach the final and many of our ICFers predicted Pak to win that day. Results aren't just settled by toss. Yes, ideally after winning the toss we should bat in big games, but when we collapse like the way you did on a decent batting track, I would blame whole batting than blaming one decision. Too many hypothetical situations involved. We might have collapsed in the first innings too like we did in the 2nd innings, due to pressure.

If we were not defeated that day, Chahal & Kuldeep would have never got the chance in ODI & T20  team also .

The loss was more attributed to fattu bowling of Ashwin and our Middle Order's inept batting. Still cant forget the shots played Jadhav and Dadu Dhoni.
