Golf enthusiasts, few small doubts.   How many types of golf clubs are there? One for long distance, one for short putting? Do they carry their own golf balls or does the event organizer provide them with designated tournament balls?   Do they play the same 18 holes on all 4 days here, or its it 18x4=72 different holes?   Are PGA/LPGA golf courses much larger than this Olympics course, hence with higher par for every shot? That could explain why Aditi with her stron

Next 2 days I am going to go through this entire thread and see if I missed out on some great posts. 

 

And thanks to all ICFers who participated in this thread. Following the Olympics with you guys was so uplifting, educational, emotional, thrilling.

 

I am sure some ICFers here were not keen enthusiasts of the Games at the start (@Mariyam was one), special thanks to them especially for having an open mind and being so enthusiastic about the various disciplines and India's performances. Hope the performances (including damp squibs, heartbreaks) and discussion about the events here changed your minds, not just temporarily.

 

When I created the buildup thread in 2019 I wasn't confident about good participation, boy was I wrong. I wasn't an ICFer during London Olympics, during Rio I was serving a long ban courtesy some asshole admin. So first time for me as well, hope we keep following non-cricket sports with keen interest in the future.

These two are supposed to be good friends and train together.  I don't think he was being arrogant here .

Yeah read that, makes her run all the more impressive. One of the gutsiest performances in Indian sports history. What an incredible fighter our Aditi!!!!!
