Throwing distance doesnt always ensure good pace. Many bowlers with throwing arm doesn't bowl as quick but there was a chance he could.

Honestly Lolli is far from handsome pretty average guy imo.  KL Rahul has good looks & heck guys like Dhoni had a good personality.  Rahul Dravid used to be popular among girls.
