As per a report in the Times of India, it has been learned that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selectors wanted to send Hardik back home from the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the UAE but MS Dhoni, India's mentor for the T20 World Cup 2021, vouched for his finishing skills to ensure of his stay in the team for the showpiece event.

All these leaks is n the last 5-6 weeks are well thought through news planted by one camp trying to earn sympathy and somehow retain captaincy in at least one format.
