Goes to show that Shastri isn't part of problem. Combo of Kohli-Shastri is problem.

yea one thing i have always known of shastri since his commentary days was he was a massive fan of pushing youngsters. His fight with ganguly was also for a reason that he supported chappel for bringing youngsters in that phase ....so it always made me wonder how come under this guy youngsters are chopped n changed at the drop of hat. Well guess what Indian team n RCB had same problems and same common factor

This team was built by our GOAT test kaptaan Kohli. The results are seen now but the foundation was laid by our king Kohli. IMO, he may not be playing but deserves all the respect. These Siraj and Sundar have come from his IPL team only which has helped them to play the game of test cricket with right mindset and determination. Rahane is just a paper captain.

The selections have been spot on.

Kohli biggest issue is poor selection.

Fans cant see how somebody is performing in the nets.

i think his biggest problem is he has this anxious and nervous vibe which leads to collapses in pressure situation and players arent at ease around him

Injuries forced India to think outside the box and utilize benched players to the fullest. This has to be our biggest lesson for future to ensure we pick team based on skills and not reputation. Without these injuries I do not believe we would have seen such rotation in our playing XI and perhaps the results might have been similar to what we suffered in Melbourne.

Full credit to this lot of players and staff for the fight they’ve shown throughout this test series. I would coin this tour as an overall mildly successful.

People saying Sundar is a T20 player haven’t watched this match. Sundar when batting looked like this is his 2nd Aus tour playing Starc,Cummins,Hazelwood.

He took 3 wickets with beautifully set up bowling.

OP rates Krunal Pandya more than Suadar because of tattoos and piercings.

Natarajan yes has a long way to go

still in tests despite the performance.

Ppl saying he is a t20 player is correct , coz his bowling is at best for t20s right now coz he doesnt turn or even bowl off stump line. His bowling heavily relies on varaiton which works in t20 not in test. Which is why even his state doesnt trust his bowling

About batting, always he has very good technique but then he ll have to aim as a batting all rounder which makes him compete with guys like Shankar, pandya and now Sundar. His Fc avg is 31 which doesnt help his case as batting all rounder

Bola andar ka budha, why is tattoo even in discussion its u who is seeing them i aint

OP rates Krunal in t20 not in any other format, and pandya has won 3 MOM n 1 MOS all overseas, also an IPL final for MI so Krunal is a clutch player. Format diff to seekh lo yaar .

Also if u wanna talk about Krunal and others, just check his impact for Mi and others like sundar , Axar, Jaddu for their franchise....krunal has made more difference

About tattoos here u go the list of players i rate highly find how many has tattoo n piercing

  4. Gill
  5. Shaw
  6. Shankar
  7. Samad
  8. Rahul chahar
  9. Siraj
  10. Tyagi
  11. Mavi

same is the case for sundar, he shud aim to become batting all rounder for which he shud learn to score big and he will with time . His bowling doesnt have tools for test

With kohli as the leader ,I sometimes the players especially the young ones play with shackles on and are scared to Express themselves .

They are rather mould into playing in a certain way/brand which the captain feels is the right way . It can work sometimes and sometimes not

More than anyone, each of our young players should get most of the praise. They have come out and showed an unthinkable sense of purpose, not even getting bogged down by the barage of short bowling. bother.

TM especially Rahane (and the senior pros Ashwin, Pujara and Rohit) do deserve the kudos for keeping the team together. Not so sure about Shastri and co. They have been partners in crime with Kohli in the last 2-3 years. Thankfully Rahane has shown mirror to them (and Kohli)

I'm so glad our younger players have slapped every single cheerleader (including some on this forum) who have mocked these same youngsters just to defend Kohli and his bizarre leadership.

In fact, it was a blessing that the captain choker returned home after 36 all out. His presence alone would have dragged this team down. Like he did after his run out in the first test or after the Bumrah no ball in CT final.
