As bad as Gandhi was, Jinnah was the mastermind of Direct Action Day violence (1946) in Calcutta. Ilm-ud-din (assassinated publisher Rajpal, 'Rangila Rasul' fame) was defended by lawyer Jinnah, root cause of blasphemy laws/violence in today's Pak.

 

Outside Pakistan and some Islamist countries no one has a good opinion of Jinnah. Gandhi had 1000 flaws but still a better reputation globally. Insult to put both names together, one was flawed, one was pure evil.

Jinnah was accountable for mob instigation on that day and then tried to wash out his hands afterwards.
