Virat Kohli, Ravi Shastri unhappy over selector Chetan Sharma's decision to include Abhimanyu Easwaran

Recommended Posts

Enough of their nonsense. Boot them out right away if they are unhappy, put them on the next flight back to India. In Rahane we have an able enough leader as a stopgap arrangement and we will do better under him.

Feel for Easwaran though. Was with the team during Eng tests in India, has done everything possible to earn his place and then his captain-coach make him their target. I hope he gets support from seniors like Rohit, Pujara, Rahane and Ashwin. They should not the clown destroy another career.

Why wouldn't he realize that he has two more openers in the squad in Mayank and Rahul?

Makes me think Kapil is right.. This management has always been disrespectful of back up players in the squad... Same thing happened during the WC.. Replacement players suddenly come in and play ahead of existing players in the squad and nobody understood their roles..

Zero planning for No. 4 position..

Kohli touted Rayudu to be their first choice

Suddenly got him replaced with Vijay Shankar as the No.4

But KL started at No.4, not Shankar

Didn't pick Pant, but picked DK instead

And when someone was injured, Pant played ahead of DK in the XI.

Never seen a more confused captain.

soon ull see another season of Captain confused- just wait for t20 Wc and see the mash he makes off the batting order

My guess is Dhawan & Rohit will start as openers with Rahul @ 4, then Dhawan will be dropped midway & Rahul pushed up to open. Meanwhile he ll be taking quick singles &  doubles at no.3.

Poore team ki maa bhen karega ye aadmi

didn't he say that he'll be opening in T20s from now on?

Yes & he followed that up with this statement after the next match

"Virat Kohli on opening with Rohit Sharma in T20Is: Not a guarantee it’s going to continue in future"

That entire stunt was meant for ONLY one thing - to deny Kishan the opportunity to open and make a case for his WT20 selection ahead of Clown's pal Dhawan. After hitting a 50+ on his debut, which team first moves a youngster to number 4 and then drops him afterwards.
