Sticking to cricket and light-hearted stuff because otherwise some of the rivalries in chit-chat get really nasty albeit still entertaining :phehe:, will try to leave those hateful ones out....also the politically charged ones and ofc the irritating ones (sorry @Ankit_sharma03 you feature in a lot of those even though it isn't your fault, just the people you choose to educate).  

 

@sandeep and @maniac are frenemies, who knows maybe even secret BFFs like Iron Man-Captain America. Also a 10% chance sandy is one of maniac's many avatars, but honestly there is like a 5% chance each of us is one the many IDs of that Rayudu bhakt. 

 

@Laaloo and @speedheat vs CSK/Thala fans who come in various shapes and sizes....like that @UnknownGenius aka @Rasgulla character, earlier Laaloo and @fineleg used to fight over trivial stuff.

 

@vvvslaxman vs @zen...that peaked a few months back, abhi thanda hai...surprising because those 2 are mostly pretty chill posters.

 

@velu @Real McCoy @Vilander vs Sachinstas like @New guy , Laaloo and a few more, separately an ongoing feud of former two with @beetle

 

@rkt.india is the strange guy, because if I say "Good morning y'all" he quotes me and says 'it is night', like those opposition politicians who oppose the budget before it is presented. Not a rivalry per se but opposing one and all just for the kicks. 

 

@Muloghonto and @Stradlater the history nerds will be MC, BCing each other one moment and 5 minutes later indulging in some History Honours level discussion concerning the role of Akshaypatra XVII in betraying Krishnamitra XXII and subsequent flawed military tactics against Muhammad Bin Al Ghazi Qawwali Naan XXX in the Battle of Hisar in 1429 AD, within a fraction of a second discussion will move towards the status of transsexuals in 18th century rural North East Bengal, then mulo will compare it favorably with the Punjabi society of September 1879. At this point ICF's Khalsa Brigade led by Sardar @Under_Score will jump in resulting in commencement of the weekly edition of ICF's SmackDown. Imperative to add that Strad will take leave at this juncture (caveat: unless Bhagat Singh enters discussion) and subject will mostly shift to Canada's Punjabi-Bengali diaspora relations and a host of other issues of vital importance for mankind like the parking facilities in Toronto's gurudwaras, real estate mood in Ludhiana and the benefits of helping the better half in folding laundry....

 

@velu vs @Stan AF in economics related threads

 

A couple of years ago things would get heated in the tennis threads, @Dil Dil India vs @zep1706 and @bones, mulo (who figures in majority rivalries anyway) would inevitable get involved and others like myself (wasted so much time arguing with the Nole/Nadaltards :facepalm:), @I6MTW @kumar713 would join in...Royal Rumble like and after a couple of pages everyone would forget which side they were arguing for. 

 

Don't want to get into the linguistic, religious, Ind/Pak and politics related rivalries, there are many and most of us (myself included) overstep the mark....regrettably so (not). Most here are (abnormally) well behaved though, non-confrontational....eerie :confused:.

There was two forms of bigotry. 

 

1 Bigotry from bigots : focus on the bigot lesser evil as it is a problem with the person.

2 Casual prejudice masked as a joke or as normal from an otherwise normal person. This normalises prejudice and is dangerous. I dislike it like a rash.

i think the problem is it is not i whom she hates, she hates some group of people of her choosing and prefers to betray her hate in a forum that is the problem.

Skimming through this, so many great posters from the past have moved on. Also with invasion of reddit, most internet forums are disappearing fast, wonder how long ICF will stay on !!!!!!

 

I sometimes wonder if @Lone Wolf and @Stradlater are the same guy. So much similarity. But one says he is from Jammu/Pathankot, other from Rajasthan IIRC. Though not as big a mystery as @maniac, @Global.Baba, @sage, I am intrigued.
